Micha Willes playground is our human intra-confusion.
She is the founder of Predicate Pop: a contemporary manual for figurative painting combining analytical knowledge of discourse, humor and language/commenting on (pop) cultural, socio-political phenomena such as hyperindividualisation, identity performance, burn-out (aka. fuck-off), competition and illusion of opportunities, status anxiety, alienation and performative self-contradictions. Depicted monolithical figures are provisional characters (Loosers, Goofies, Ghosts, etc.) with a bruised sense of importance, highly preoccupied with their own inner turmoil, struggling to maintain a sound nucleus under the terrible pressure of generality. Humor constitutes a central manoever and a functional category in Willes work.
